Hello Fashionistas,
I will be posting my views and insights on general trends in fashion, travel, food and culture in Brazil. I am a young Brazilian fashion designer, who upon graduating from University of Southern Santa Catarina with a degree in Fashion design and upon completing my post-graduate degree in Fashion: Marketing and Management at Senac-BR College, decided to focus on fashion accessories. Recently, I arrived to the British Virgin Islands, where I was inspired by the Caribbean culture to create my latest jewelry collection. More on my hand-broided and crochet jewelry line below...
I am so excited to be joining Club Fashionista!
My country is very extensive and the fashion design there is very abundant, especially with materials such as embroidery, lace, and crochet and the craft of hand sewing, which brought to the land by the Europeans and Africans and already present in the native-Indian-Brazilian culture.

Although Brazilian culture tends to be relatively informal, Brazilians are quite fashion couscious and fascinated by handmade accessories and clothes, which has always with women because of the clothing's price and quality. In addition, handmade designers support sustainable and eco-friendly fashion.
I recently created some necklaces and bracelets for my brand using this concept. These accessories are unique, modern and made with several types of materials. Take a look at my photos below and let me know what you think. To purchase or provide feedback on my Carribean inspired jewelery line, please feel free to send me an email at fernanda_souto@hotmail.com or fernandas@clubfashionista.com.
Hope you enjoy them and see you soon!
