If for some reason you kept your black and white Adidas slide-on sandals from the 90s and they still fit you, you’re in luck, because it looks like this look is back in style! Pool sandals have been seen all over the place this season, even from high-fashion labels like Marni, Celine, and Chloe.
However, if you’re looking to add a bit of stylish comfort to your wardrobe this season but can’t quite afford these designer brands, not to worry. Plenty of affordable retailers are stocking their shelves with this retro trend. Here are a few of them:

There has been a little bit of a debate about this trend in the fashion community. Some love the comfort and old-school feel of pool sandals; while some feel they are too frumpy for everyday wear. While at first, I found it a bit odd seeing pool sandals being paired with non-beach attire, I have found some great ways they can be styled that I really enjoy. I am seeing them styled mainly in two different ways: either to add an unexpected, laid back feel to a more dressed up outfit, or to enhance the cool, sporty vibe of a more casual one. Here are some photos of both:
I personally love both of these methods for styling pool sandals. It definitely might be tricky getting every fashionista on board with this trend, but I like the unique feel of it. And besides, who wouldn’t jump on the opportunity to add a little bit more comfort to their outfit this summer?
