How to Cure Fashion Obsessive-Comuplsive-Disorder: "FOCD"

By Deni Lee

Runway shows and designer couture have a predisposed way of inspiring unique trends, evoking emotion and infusing inventiveness. When you see a particular “look” that captures your attention, it is often difficult (if not nearly impossible) to wipe out of your mind. Much like a favorite song that keeps playing over and over in your head or that fabulously attractive man/woman you met at a party the other night. This type of chance encounter has definitely struck a fashion nerve and the next thing you know, it is absolutely all you think about day and night. My Hubby coined it as, “Fashion-Obsessive-Compulsive-Disorder (#FOCD).”

According to the Mayo Clinic, “With obsessive-compulsive disorder, you may realize that your obsessions aren’t reasonable, and you may try to ignore them or stop them. But that only increases your distress and anxiety. Ultimately, you feel driven to perform compulsive acts in an effort to ease your stressful feelings.” Yikes!

In an effort to alleviate my #FOCD without breaking the bank, I gathered all my favorite designer looks like so:

Then, I MADE IT MY OWN, like this:

Bag Balenciaga, Sweater Stefano Mortari, Skirt Vince, Booties Stuart Weitzman, Bracelet Fendi, Necklace & Ring Chanel

Deni’s #FOCD cured! LOL! Share your current #FOCD and your own unique cures on www.clubfashionista.com and www.denilee.com!
