Summer Travels: Part I--My Journey to Peru!

Hello Fashionistas!

Unfortunately, summer is finally coming to an end. For me, this is a time to reflect on my travels and experiences.

How did you guys spend your summer? Did any of you travel? If so, where did you go?

I was fortunate enough to travel three continents and six countries, and what an experience it was!

I left Colombia in June for Peru. Peru is located in Western South America between Chile and Ecuador and borders Western South Pacific Ocean. Peru is slightly smaller than Alaska.

I saw Lima, Cusco, and of course Machu Picchu. For details about traveling to Machu Picchu, click here. Peru was magical in every way. From the amazing cuisine and chic neighborhoods of Lima, to the historic and crowded Cusco, and finally to the magnificent and intense trek to Machu Picchu!

Ancient Peru was the hub of several ancient civilizations, including the Incas whose imprints remain embedded on the magnificent sites of Machu Picchu. The Spanish conquered ancient Peru in 1533 and were finally defeated in 1824.

Peru was unforgettable, and I highly recommend everyone to go! It was truly an adventure with site seeing, hiking, and spotting countless gorgeous views. Take a look at my photos below!
