Many of us are not so familiar with this country’s fashion scene and probably don’t know that many top models, designers, and famous photographers come from this region of the world. Serbians have become more fashion conscious and have witnessed many of its talented people become internationally famous.
For example: Marko Mitanovski is one designer Lady Gaga turns to when she needs a spectacular outfit for her video; Ana Mihajalovic is a top model who has graced the covers of many magazines including French Elle, Japan’s Spur, and UK’s Wallpaper; Dusan Reljin is a famous Serbian photographer who has worked with many celebrities, including Michael Phifer, Eva Longoria, Kim Kardashian, Justin Bieber, to name a few; and Georgina (Djurdja) Stojiljkovic is a young top model who has starred in the fashion shows of many designers including Alberta Ferretti, Bottega Veneta, Christian Dior, DKNY, Dolce & Gabbana, Hermès, Iceberg, Lacoste, Lanvin, Oscar de la Renta, Prada, Versace, Valentino.

Marko Mitanovski
A young Serbian designer, Marko Mitanovski, was one of the three designers who presented his collections at the London Fashion Week's 'Ones to watch' show in 2009. Since then, Marko has been acquiring fans all over the world, including one extremely famous fan: Lady Gaga, who wore his designs in her music video.
“My work is recognizable for its sculpturality and theatrics in models, detailed construction and moderate geometry. However, being swept away by the sculpturality does not disfigure a woman's shape, but quite the contrary, it reasonably emphasizes and accentuates it.” Below are some photos of Marko’s world famous designs:
Since winning 2002 Elite Model Look, Ana has seen her career take off rapidly. She has walked the runway for Dolce & Gabbana, Balenciaga, Dries van Noten, Givenchy, John Galliano, Marc Jacobs, Miu Miu, Prada, and Christian Dior (just to name a few). Georgina (Djurdja) Stojiljkovic
Georgina Stojiljkovic is a Serbian model from Pancevo born on May 19, 1987. Georgina, who changed her name from Djurdja Stojiljkovic, was discovered by an Italian scout at Belgrade's fashion show. Since then, she has seen her career skyrocket as she walked runways of some of the most famous designers and has graced the covers of many magazines.
