Chanel is a brand that has created iconic fashion-pieces throughout its history. One of them is definitely the little black jacket, which has become "a symbol of elegance; it is “feminine…relaxed, classic and timeless” and “belongs to [all] ages,” said the designer Karl Lagerfeld.
It was he who decided to pay homage to this iconic fashion-piece; he invited more than a hundred celebrities to wear different versions of the "little black jacket" for a photographic collection that was presented in an exhibition in Tokyo, Japan. In addition, he posted the images of the photographed celebrities in a book titled "The Little Black Jacket: Chanel's Classic Revisited” by Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld. This book will be available in the fall of 2012.
Chanel es una marca que ha creado íconos ha lo largo de su historia. Uno de ellos es sin duda the little black jacket un “símbolo de elegancia, femenino, con un aire relajado, clásico y atemporal, que pertenece a todas las épocas”, a decir del diseñador Karl Lagerfeld.
Fue él quien decidió rendir homenaje al ícono de la moda, e invitó a más de un centenar de celebridades a portar diversas versiones del “Little black jacket” para una colección fotográfica que se presentó en una exposición en Tokio, Japón, además de reunir las imágenes en un libro titulado:“The Little Black Jacket: Chanel’s classic revisited by Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld estrá disponible en el otoño de 2012¨.
