NO Photoshop!!!

By Amra B.

I am TIRED of PHOTOSHOP in the magazines!!! Fashionistas, while I was watching a youtube music video yesterday, it occurred to me how FAKE all the images we see in the magazine, internet, TV, billboards have become! Litrally, I CANNOT recognize these people when I see them on the street. They have been created into beauty "gods" and "goddess" through the marketing campaigns that feature an INCREDIBLE amount of filters and photoshop and somehow they are just incredibly NORMAL people in person.!!! Beauty standard have become almost UNATTAINABLE because we are competing with photoshopped (almost unrecognizably animated) characters and NOT REAL PEOPLE! So, I decided to say "Fu*k you" to the media and show off my "real face." The photos below are NOT photoshopped and NOT filtered. They were taken with my MacBook Air and I just used lighting I had available in my room. Sure enough, you will be able to see more of my "imperfections" (i.e. dark circles, laugh lines, pimples), but I believe that it is these things that make us individuals! I will also feature a series of photos soon without any makeup, so stay tuned to see me AU Naturale! XOXO fashionistas!

OH COME ON!! This was just a thinly veiled attempt to say "Look how hot I am! And I didn't even photoshop anything!! Never mind my sexy poses/angles and my carefully made up hair and make-up." (Although I'm sure you're gorgeous bare-faced too.) Don't take that as an insult though. You are generically good looking (Big eyes, big lips, small, straight nose, strong chin) This is just going to make women feel worse about themselves, but I am sure you were just trying to get your ego stroked?
