Humanitarian, mother of six and Hollywood megastar, Angelina Jolie, will star in a live-action motion picture as Maleficent based on Disney's Sleeping Beauty. The movie will be told from the point of view of Maleficent. Walt Disney Picture (the film's distributor) chose Robert Stromberg, the Academy-Award winning producer (for Avatar and Alice in Wonderland) to direct the film. Elle Fanning will play Princess Aurora. The film's official release date is set for July 2, 2014. The filming is reportedly taking place in the Buckinghamshire countryside.
