With 2013 just behind us, I decided to make a review of the top 10 best beauty products to use going into 2014. I sorted the products by price, personal experience and quality. In another words, how to get the most for your dollar? Here is what I found:
1. OPI Nail Lacquer: $9
I personally love this stuff. I, like most women, have issues painting my own nails. This goes on smoothly and stays on for longer than most nail polishes. It also comes off the skin around your nails a lot easier than other nail polishes and dries really quickly. Moreover, it comes in a wide variety of colors.
2. Maybelline New York Great Lash: $6.50
This stuff is awesome. One coat makes your lashes appear longer and darker. I normally apply two coats. I wait for the first one to dry a little, not completely, and then apply a second coat. That second coat really makes them pop even more.
3. Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion: $26
This is a product that tops all the beauty lists year after year. It’s an amazing moisturizer that women boast is “the only thing you’ll ever need, ever.”
4. Clarisonic Mia: $119
Although this gadget may be pricy, it’s worth it according to consumers. It preps well for a toner, moisturizer and makeup as well as cleans and refreshes your face leaving it super smooth. This is a “can’t live without” for many women.
5. Bare Minerals: $27
It seems like this foundation is a hit with almost everyone. Some “never leave home without it,” while others, “absolutely can’t live without it.” Year after year, it tops the beauty lists. It’s a concealer, foundation and powder in one that leaves your face looking and feeling flawless.
6. Dove Body Wash: $5
This body wash is amazing. It’s intensely hydrating and usually requires no post showering lotion. Just shower and go, saving precious minutes in your beauty routine.
7. Maybelline New York Eye Studio Color Tattoo: $7
This eye makeup goes on especially smoothly. It also stays on for long periods of time without looking faded. This comes in 15 colors, all of which are rocking.
8. Suave Dry Shampoo: $3
This is an amazing product. You should only wash your hair every other day in order to not strip the healthy oils. On those days that you don’t wash your hair, it soaks up every bit of grease better than any other dry shampoos that I have ever tried.
9. Burt’s Bees Ultimate Care Hand Cream: $13
This baobab-oil and green tea infused hand cream leaves your hands smooth and healthy while offering a refreshing fragrance.
10. NYX Cosmetics The Curve Liner: $15
This liquid liner comes with a curved handle that fits well around your fingers, making it easier to use. It has an intense color that really makes your eyes pop. It also has the staying power and doesn’t fade or smudge.
