5 Healthy Breakfast Recipes for the Girl on the Go

This day in age, it seems as if people are running around in circles trying to get things accomplished. From work to maintaining a social life, women simply do not have the time to sit and prepare the well-balanced breakfast they need to start their days off right. However, did you know that eating a healthy breakfast has been proven to help you eat less throughout the day? According to WebMD, breakfast is also linked to many benefits, including weight control and improved performance. 




Clearly, breakfast is more than essential, which is why I am here to provide...

 

5 quick and easy recipes for the girl on the go:


1.) Instant Oatmeal



What is amazing about oatmeal is that it only takes roughly four minutes to whip up. With more than 20 grams of protein, it will surely keep you full.



2.) Yogurt Parfaits




Ingredients:

3 cups vanilla nonfat yogurt
1 cup fresh or defrosted frozen strawberries in juice
1 pint fresh blackberries, raspberries or blueberries
1 cup good quality granola

3.) Breakfast Smoothies




Green Tea, Blueberry, and Banana

Ingredients:

3 Tbsp water
1 green tea bag
2 tsp honey
11⁄2 c frozen blueberries
1⁄2 med banana
3⁄4 c calcium fortified light vanilla soymilk

4.) One-Minute Cheesy Mushroom Scramble




Ingredients:

3 eggs
1/2 cup presliced fresh mushrooms
1 ounce 2% shredded mozzarella
1 teaspoon pam cooking spray

Directions

1.Crack eggs into bowl. Whisk eggs to break yolks.
2.Add mushrooms and cheese.
3.Spray Pam on hot pan.
4.Add eggs. Cook and scramble until firm

5.) Overnight Oats




The night before, combine these ingredients and heat up 1-2 minutes the next morning.

Ingredients:

1⁄2 cup milk
1/3 cup rolled oats
1⁄2 a banana (mashed)
1⁄4 cup chopped nuts
A sprinkle of cinnamon

I have tried Yogurt Parfaits few months ago during my niagara falls tour with my sister. It is a simple, healthy and easy to cook recipe. We can cook it in short time.
