Club Fashionista's Top 8 Picks for Fall Shoes:

It’s that time of the year again to ditch your flip flops and choose some new shoes for Fall 2014! Here are Club Fashionista’s top 7 choices for this season’s most popular styles.

1. High fashion sneakers:

Think stilettos are only for the runway? Well think again because Karl Lagerfeld doesn’t think so! In an interview posted on Chanel’s website, the style icon pointed out, “In the history of fashion, around 1800 to 1840 or 1845, women had flat shoes. Even with a ball gown, they had flat shoes." Chanel wasn’t the only line to feature this unique look; Dior also featured his own version of high end sneakers on the runway and in stores now is his creation of half running shoe, half pump for just under $1500.

2. Platform sandals and shoes:

Another trend that has found its way back to the runways, stores, and blogs across the world is the platform trend; designers are even pairing them with bright colored socks this time around! Celine has sky high platform sandals out right now for $1200 and stores worldwide are carrying their own unique versions of this 90’s trend as well.

3. Shearling booties and pumps:

Shearling made a big comeback this season on the runways and footwear is no exception! The most popular version of this trend would have to go to the booties and pumps but shearling was also seen on knee highs and flats alike. Above are some fabulous, must-have, Burberry booties!

4. Print pumps:

Print pumps are all the rage! Be sure not to limit yourself to wearing neutrals with this trend as patterns in similar color schemes would complement this look perfectly! Moschino is crazy about them this season and you can find them in stores everywhere; Nordstrom has some awesome Mary Katrantzou pumps for under a $1,000!

5. Mary Janes:

The sixties look is in full force, which means Mary Janes are the must have shoe of the moment! Of course, Valentino used the look in full force and even created a Mary Jane bootie!

6. Knee high boots:

As we all know, knee high boots are a big fall/winter trend but this time around, patent boots are all the rage. Saint Laurent and Gucci were just two of the shows that featured the sixties look on the runway so grab a trapeze dress and pick up some neutral knee high patents for a the cutest look of the season!

7. Peep Toe Booties:

This is definitely a trend that has lasted through the seasons and for good reason too! Not only are they absolutely adorable but just about everyone is putting their own spin on them. Dior, Burberry, and Gianvito Rossi has some amazing new takes on the seemingly timeless new trend, so be sure to check them out at a department store near you!
