One of the biggest makeup trends this season has been pastel lips. Go-to lip colors for summer tend to be bold colors- bright pinks, oranges, and reds. However, pastels are a great way to get a soft, gorgeous look for summer that is totally unique. From soft pinks and purples to blues and greens, no color is off limits this season!
To get you started on your search for pastels, here are a few different options when choosing a pastel lip:

Lipstick: MAC Cosmetics have a wide array of pastel lipsticks to choose from.
Lip Balm: If you prefer a more moisturizing balm to a lipstick, try L’Oreal Color Riche Balm. They go on super smooth and keep your lips hydrated in the warmer weather!
Lip Stain: If you’d rather throw on a lip stain and not have to worry about reapplying, try Revlon’s Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain.
Tons of celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Kelly Osbourne, Blake Lively, and Katy Perry have been seen sporting this trend recently. In order to keep their makeup looking fresh and summery, these ladies have opted to go with minimal makeup on the rest of the face.
When working with these colors, less is more. Too much eye makeup or blush would simply be too much with such a saturated color. A lightly rosy cheek paired with either a bare eye or a touch of eyeliner is the best way to go for everyday wear.
If you are feeling extra bold, though, adding a different pastel shade to the eye can create a more high-fashion look. However, I would still recommend minimal eyeliner and bush. Just a touch of mascara will go a long way with this look!
Pastels are definitely a summer trend that’s here to stay. Don’t be afraid to step a little out of your comfort zone and experiment with color!
