I’m sure everyone wants to know what is inside a fashionista’s closet. It’s a secret place where a fashionista can go and pick out that one perfect piece of designer clothing. Nobody knows what that closet could have in it, (ladies never tell). What I can tell you is every fashionista owns...

10 must-have closet essentials for every fashionista…

Let’s start from the basics, shall we? 

1. The classic black blazer.

You should have this in your closet. No ifs, ands or buts. It goes perfectly with a white tank and a pair of vintage denim shorts. Stars like Jessica Alba, Rachel Bilson and Kim Kardashian have all been seen in Hollywood wearing the black blazer. 

2. Leopard Print Scarf.

Every girl loves prints, am I right? Well, the leopard print scarf is a big must-have closet essential. You can wear it with just about anything, maybe a t-shirt and jeans combo? I think going casual and not taking away all the attention from the scarf is a good choice.

3. The red ballet flats.

The red ballet flats are certainly a must-have because it just adds that pop of color to your outfit. You want people to be like “I want those flats, where did you get them?” Its things like that you have to keep an eye out for, because a fashionista wants to be noticed by everyone. These bright red ballet flats are perfect for summer and make the outfit even more vibrant!

4. Striped Shirt.

One of my favorite must-have closet essentials is the striped shirt. It can either be a tank-top or just a striped t-shirt paired with a great blue jean or some white vintage shorts, whatever you like! The idea is to wear something that makes you comfortable and the striped shirt does just that!

5. Statement Necklace.

The statement necklace has to be the most exquisite yet chic item a fashionista could own in her closet. Scarlett Johanson is seen wearing them on the red carpet all the time and she looks beautiful doing so! Statement necklaces turn your outfit into something so elegant and classy everyone is going to want that necklace! I mean, come on! It’s what every girl dreams of having. What’s that saying? Oh right...diamonds are a girl’s best friend!

6. The LBD (little black dress).

It’s one of those things that you need in your closet! You might see Kristen bell, Nina Dobrev and Jenna Dewan-Tatum wearing the famous LBD on the red carpet. You can wear it any way you like (halter, strapless, maybe a little V-neck action). Also pair it with your favorite necklace or statement piece, that way it doesn’t look too simple. 7. Black Tights. 

Next we have the classic black tights! I actually had to wear tights for ballet classes when I was 10 years old. But they do help make your legs look thinner, which is what I really like about them, especially if you are wearing a dress! They look great with an all black fur coat and a pair of Louboutin heels! I really love that idea of an all black outfit (black on black) and I know all fashionista’s do too. 

8. The Oversized Watch. 

The oversized watch has become popular amongst the likes of Victoria Beckham, Jennifer Aniston, and Dakota Fanning. A fashionista always needs a little bling. The key to wearing any oversized watch is leaving it loose on your arm, so then it will look you are wearing a bracelet! Michael Kors has some of the most amazing oversized watches; I suggest that every fashionista should buy at least one from his collection!

9. Trench Coat. 

The classic trench coat is basically like keep sake something you never want to take off! I really like that you can wear it over absolutely anything. It’s just a very sophisticated piece. Also makes you feel confident and strong. Fashionista’s want to feel superior, so that when walking on the streets of New York London or Los Angeles they can show off that classic trench coat! 10. Blue Jeans.

Last but not least is the ultimate must-have closet essential....the oh-so famous blue jeans! Every fashionista must have these in their closets. You can wear them with a black tank or white, maybe a bright red crop-top from H&M would be a nice pairing! It could literally be anything, that’s what is so great about blue jeans. Nothing is better than having a pair of perfectly fitted blue jeans in your closet.
