How It All Began...
Zanotti began his “professional” career as a radio DJ, which he did for seven years. While working as a consultant for Valentino, among others, he designed his first pair of shoes. They were designed for a girlfriend he had at the time. She was a pretty girl with not so pretty shoes so he designed a pair for her. He quickly had a lot of girls coming to him asking for shoes.
His current company started out with only 15 employees and now has over 500. He has been nominated for designer of the year three times and won the prix d’Excellence de la Mode for best footwear.

Cameron Diaz, Jenna Malone, Jared Leto, Adriana Lima, Jaime King, Rita Ora, Doutzen Kroes, Chanel Iman, Jennifer Lopez, Nicole Scherzinger, Kylie Minogue, Casper Smart, Anna Kendrick, Cate Blanchette, Anna Vyalitsyna, Kate Perry, Nicole Trunfio, Keri Russell, Rhianna, Macklemore, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Sandra Bullock, Leona Lewis and Miley Cyrus are just a snippit of the list of celebrities that recently wore Zanotti. Miley Cyrus is such a huge fan that he designed nine shoes for Miley Cyrus’s Bangerz tour.
The Capsule Collection:
In honor of his 20th anniversary, Zanotti is releasing a capsule collection; four limited edition collections to be released throughout the year. The first selection will be released in stores in June. It will be a collection a gold flats with jewels. He loves jewels and has used them frequently throughout his career. He chose to do them in all gold because gold is “timeless.” The idea of all flat, all gold was inspired from the beach, freedom, and simplicity.
The second collection is a rock and roll selection, inspired by punk, bikers, rock stars, and metal encompassed with buckles and studs. The third collection is all black stilettos. He feels that “stilettos provide an intimate story.” The fourth and final selection is a disco section. “Disco is fun and it’s free, holding no direction.”

Giuseppe Zanotti is looking forward to many years of designing shoes, as we are looking forward to his shoes. You never know what may come out of the mind of the great designer. In fact, he doesn’t even know what the future has in store after the capsules. Certainly be sure to keep your eyes open for the amazing and unique collections throughout the year, as they are sure to not disappoint.
