For casual days, the most popular go to clothing is: jeans! I wear jeans during all seasons, and they are my most popular choice on days that I want to lay back and relax. Denim goes great with everything, but this spring I choose to pair up my jeans with flats. Flats allow me to move around freely as I tend to walk everywhere that I can. They are also the shoes I end up wearing most often. I bought my shoes below recently, and I have a feeling they will save my feet this spring. I am also very much into light ripped denim and chunky jewelry. I love how the bold necklaces stand out against the casual denim, and also feel they look equally great with a striped shirt as they would with a simple white tee.
Here are some ideas on how to wear denim this spring:
- Go for the boyfriend style: Boyfriend jeans are the go-to-style for this spring. Mine are cropped and oversized (not quite boyfriend), but the idea is to be able to feel comfortable.
- Light and ripped denim is amazing for spring (and summer): step away from all the dark colors you used to wear in the winter. Ripped effect gives denim sex-appeal by showing just enough skin.
- Add a bold necklace: Denim can be casual, but adding a bold necklace can instantly make it fancy. I love all the bold necklaces for spring with simple tees or button down shirts.
- Keep your shoes flat: and do a bit of walking! We all need to get as much exercise as possible following the winter diet and lazy days spent in our homes next to a fire place. Flat shoes will allow you to walk more and enjoy these upcoming beautiful spring days.
