This past weekend in Miami has been nothing short of magical: it was summer there; the palm trees, the beaches and the hot sun made it an irresistible destination! I lived in Miami for three years so I know all the “secret” spots, and one of these charming places is the Matheson Hammock Park in Coral Gables. (see my photos below).
Travel Tips to Miami
Travel Tip #1: To fully experience Miami, you must have a car. For instance, it only takes about 20 minutes from South Beach to Coral Gables by car. You miss out on some of jaw-dropping scenery (and some of the most beautiful sights in the world) if you decide to stay only in South Beach or some other part of Miami.
Travel Tip #2: Make sure to visit some of the parks to experience the natural beauty of Miami, e.g., Matheson Hammock Park in Coral Gables, Bilboa Park on Biscayne Bay, and of course, one of the largest natural parks in the United States—the Everglades.
The moist climate in Miami makes it an ideal setting for tropical plants and animals, e.g., thick shrubbery and plant roots, and some amazingly large spiders (see the photos below); or in the Everglades, alligators and crocodiles co-exist side by side, and you have plenty of chances to see them first hand.
My Outfit Dissected
For the fashionistas, in these photos, I am wearing a Guess jean dress and Zara blue collared shirt. Shoes: Louboutin red sparkly shoes and Zara silver sandals. Accessories: Versace sunglasses and Forever XXI necklaces. Makeup: Lancome and MAC.
There is so much Miami has to offer…stay tuned for my next adventure, XOXO
