Your Guide to Cannes

My Day Trip To Cannes

We made a stop at Cannes while on our way to St. Tropez. Cannes is located in the French Riviera and is a very well known for the Cannes Film Festival, which is held annually in June. Along the strip, there are luxury shops (e.g., Chanel, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton), restaurants and hotels (one of my favorites: the Carlton). Traveling tip: Carlton Hotel has an amazing rooftop pool, with a trendy bar and restaurant.

If you are on a day trip to Cannes, make sure to walk along the sea side promenade.  Also, be prepared that in the months of July it is very hot, so bring your sun block and wear something very light and comfortable shoes. The beaches are gorgeous and the atmosphere is filled with people from all over the world. During the day, we had breakfast at Armani cafe, which had a great view of the strip and was very peaceful.  For lunch, we went to Lebanese restaurant--Al Charq, which was located on a side street and a mom-and-pop type of place, i.e. the owners are always there. It was authentic, affordable and amazing. Many locals eat there.

At night, (around 10pm) we were fortunate enough to experience fireworks, which were accompanied by an orchestra that played from classical to James Bond themed music. The experience was amazing. For details, take a look at my photos below....until next time, xoxo.
