Nicki Minaj is the stage name of Onika Tanya Maraj, who is currently one of the most sought-after rappers in the world. She was born in Trinidad and Tobago and at only five, she moved to Queens, which is a part of New York City. She rose to fame through her Pink Friday album released in 2010. The album rose to number one on the U.S. Billboard 200. In fact, she was the first female solo artist to have seven singles on the Billboard Hot 100 simulatenously. Her single "Super Bass" has sold more than four million copies making it one of the best selling singles in the U.S. Afterwards, Minaj released her second album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded in 2012, which was an international success that produced songs like "Starships" and "Pound the Alarm."
Her colorful makeup, fantasy costumes and (usually) blond wigs have become her signature mark. Her style has been closely followed worldwide and some see her as a fashion icon. In fact, she has endorsed MAC Cosmetics. What do you think fashionistas, which one is your favorite Nicki Minaj look?
