When in Belgium...

I moved to Brussels in August of 2011. I lived there shortly but had the chance to become quickly acquainted with this boutique northeastern European city. Brussels is mostly known for hosting the European Parliament, the European Commission and the NATO.  Therefore, as I walked through Brussels, I could hear so many different European languages and see a large variety of Europeans. Brussels is also unique because it has two official languages: French and Flemish (a dialetct of Dutch).

While Brussels is not a party city, I enjoyed it for its international vibe and amazing chocolates.  My favorite area was the Sablon, especially for brunch and strolls on Sundays. For more details of my life in Brussels, please see the photos below.
